My New Website: simonbolz.com relaunched and now mobile ready

Tablet-friendly

I am very happy to announce my all new website: http://www.simonbolz.com

What's new?

The frontpage images layout is different. No more gaps/lines inbetween.
The text blocks are included within the images and the images align
automatically adapting your screen width (make your browser window
smaller to see what I mean).

Photos are now scaled to fit nicely on a Retina display (those modern
high resolution displays Apple uses) and the layout is optimised to work
with tablets and mobiles as well.

For example if you have a smaller device window viewport, images are not
faded out and the mouseover effect is taken off as on mobiles and
tablets there is no hover function.

The years have been taken off the frontpage for a more magazine like
layout. The order is still from latest to oldest but noone is interested
in the years on the frontpage I thought, so it's gone.

The layout on the subpages is much slicker now. Images automatically
scale without rocket science behind it. I had "rocket science" in my old
website and it just took too long to load and the scripting was such a
pain. Now, I came up with a technique that is much simpler.

The major new thing on the subpages is that the images are displayed in
a way I intended it. So you 2 images next to each other when I want it
and not 3 or 4 like in my old site. Still images get scaled down to fit
your screen on smaller viewports.

It was bugging me that the video was always so small. I included a
script to scale the video larger.

And now you are able to browse to the next (older) series directly from
a subpage without jumping back to the front page.

I am happy if you don't see much of a difference but still invite you to
enjoy my new website: http://www.simonbolz.com

P.S. Facebook blocked me for 3 days because I posted the above screenshot. Welcome to the new Facebook world!

Trailer: Turn me on, dammit"

Interesting Tribeca Film Festival submission:

Awarded "Best Screenplay" at the Tribeca Film Festival 2011. "Turn Me
On, Dammit!" is a story about a group of teenage friends who feel
trapped in the Norwegian small town they live in. Alma is experiencing
desires she never felt before and is just discovering her own sexuality.
Her sexual curiosity makes daydreaming and phone-sex an escape from
everyday life. At a party, Artur -- the boy who frequents Alma's dreams
-- makes a bold move on her, but everything seems to go wrong. The life
Alma wanted to escape from has somehow become even worse. "Turn Me On,
Dammit!" consists of beautiful frames and music, with dialogue that is
careful, but spot on. Jannicke Systad Jacobsen strikes against all the
taboos surrounding young women's sexuality. The world has been waiting,
and hopefully, now less people will feel ashamed about something
everyone goes through at a certain age.
