TinEye: Find your images on other website with reverse image search

Tineye

A new search engine has been launched to help photographers find their
images on other websites. As there are billions of photographs on the
web the search doesn't really work for me yet. But it will be worth
checking out the search engine TinEye at a later stage again:

Fashion served: Great photography from the Behance Network

Fashionserved

The Behance Network has put together several website where they promote
the works of their members. Fashion served shows some really nice
fashion projects.

And the website itself is so well designed - I really need to be more
active in the Behance Network again.

Dennis Chotenovsky: wild snaps, some girls and glitz

Website

Czech photographer Dennis Chotenovsky has an inspiring style. His models
expressions are wild yet natural. The poses are different from the
usual. A portfolio I recommend to visit:

Facebook reactivated my account (but no more nudes)

Yesterday evening I received a mail by the Facebook team:

"...
However, after reviewing your situation, we have reactivated your
account, and you should now be able to log in. In order to prevent this
from happening in the future, please refrain from posting photos of this
kind and remove any that still exist on the site.
..."

I deleted all nudes or half nudes from my Facebook page and cut the
connection between Posterous and Facebook. It should be alright now.

Facebook kicked me out: My account and my fanpage were disabled

Facebook_disabled

After six months of being on Facebook yesterday evening Facebook decided
suddenly to kick me out. They disabled both my personal account and my
fanpage.

The reason they gave me was:

"...
Facebook does not allow users to register with fake names, to
impersonate any person or entity, or to falsely state or otherwise
misrepresent themselves or their affiliations.
..."

Obviously I am not fake. My real name is Simon Bolz. So the real reason
must have been my fanpage which was a fanpage for simonbolz.com. I had
58 fans and one third of them was female. I showed some pictures from my
portfolio on my fanpage but none of them were sexually explicit in any way.

My conclusion is: Facebook is just not right for me. I am very much
disappointed that in a democratic and civilized society a company
decides for itself what is right and what is wrong.

I don't want to fight for democracy and tolerance. Facebook is simply
not important enough for me and I am not going to fight (desperately) to
be allowed in the club.

But there are a few things I would like to point out:

- The way Facebook disabled my account was very harsh: no warning, no
e-mail, just deleting everything (and not even naming the real reason
for it).

- In a world full of nudity (on tv, in newspapers and advertisements) is
it really a big deal to show some skin, especially when it is in a
sensual way?

- There are thousands of similar profiles on Facebook by other nude
photographers. So how come mine was deleted and the others still exist?
Am I just a sacrificial lamb?

Don't worry, I'll keep up my photography and make sure to e-mail me your
questions and feedback. Let's stay in touch.

Just a commercial: But with extralarge accessoires

Terry Richardson shot the campaign and there is another making of video
from the shooting. It is a bit geeky, but well... the large accessoires
they are using (e.g. the tennis racquet at 0:38) look funny.

Short video: Eyes of Mars (Lady Rouge) by Dior

Recently more and more short videos are coming up. I just ordered a
Canon 550D to be able to record HD video as well. Let's see what happens.

Here is a video with nice pictures - an ad by Dior:

Damn old yet cool: Victoria Secret Fashion Show 2003

Almost 7 years old, yet the coolest show by Victoria Secret in my
personal opinion. The music is so great. The opening song "Rob D -
Clubbed to Death" is one of my alltime favourites for a runway show.

So as a little memory of the good old times, here is a clip from the
Vicrotia Secret Fashion Show 2003:

Making Of Video: Italian Vogue February 2010 (Greg Lotus shooting in a train)

The setting is a train - nice one. And it is always nice to look behind
the scene. As it is sometimes hard to imagine how something will look on
the picutres, I'd suggest to simply have a look here:

Video trailer for underwear by Damaris (UK)

Director Justin Anderson brings us a wonderful commercial trailer for
Damaris panties. The underlying music by Pete Diggens suits very well
and I like the ironic storyline "doing dirty things in brand new
underwear". Well, it's cleaning up, but so what...

Oh, this video has been posted a lot so far but nobody mentioned the
link to the collection. Here you go: http://www.damaris.co.uk/

The British Pound is pretty weak at the moment so I buy things
frequently in the UK lately.

Ever fantaszied about your Outer-office Secretary?

10

What a cheesy title... don't ask why, please. I won't tell you.

It's sexy Melisa again - enjoy the photos:

Some of the pictures I shot with my tilt/shift lens.

Shooting with Lu: Endless love (Amor senza fine)

I had another shooting with Lu from Russia. The series will be called
"Endless love (Amor senza fine)". I had the shooting in an apartment
near the main train station in Frankfurt. It was a very old building,
ugly like hell from the outside but full of atmosphere on the inside.

I am still selecting and preparing images but in a couple of weeks the
series will be available on my website www.simonbolz.com.
